Today is National Hockey Card Day. If you are in Canada, you can get free packs of exclusive trading cards.
You can get a pack of cards at large retailers like Jean Coutu, PharmaPlus and Rexall.
Hobby shops will be carrying the free packs too. Here is a list of participating card and hobby shops.
There are 16 different cards in the set. The first 15 will come in the free packs (usually 5 per pack). The 16th card, which is of Jonathan Toews (above) is only available if you make a purchase at one of the participating card/hobby stores.
So, what are you waiting for? Go get some free cards. And if anyone gets an extra complete set for trade (including the Toews card and a wrapper), I will gladly trade you for it.

Hey Sal: Will be sending you the 15 card set, the Toews and an empty wrapper--just picked mine and yours up
Thanks, Al. I appreciate it :)
I unfortunately think some of those places are fictitious and they scammed UD. I went to two of the locations on the list in my area and both were either empty or residential. I unfortunately only managed to get 2 packs from the one legit place in my area!
Damn You Sal !
Do you have to remind me every winter that I miss out on this promotion.
I love this idea and I think it's great for the hobby. I remember when this started with FREE COMIC BOOK DAY and it helped that hobby back on its feet.
I only wish we could do this world wide for soccer cards !
Thanks for sharing the samples.
Chuck, I did mention this about a month back...

Sorry you missed it again this year.
Dave, next year you could tell Upper Deck that your house is a hobby shop. And then they'll send you a whole bunch of those packs that you can redistribute to us bloggers south of the border.
PS--I did not forget your trade proposal. Just been swamped with other stuff distracting me from my hobbies :(
