Unfortunately, the collation was horrible on these cards. I ended up with eight cards of Zach Parise, eight cards of Mike Modano, and zero cards of Pekka Rinne. Some cards I only got because the great guys at AU Sports kept opening packs to try to help me complete at least one set.
Nonetheless, all that effort and not even one complete set.
I am asking my fellow American collectors for help. Let's trade some NHCD cards:
Here is what I need:

I'd also be willing to trade low-end cards or commons from my Trade List.

That just reinforces my opinion that Upper Deck simply slapped something together to say that they tried. My LCS ran out of the packs by 3:00. Of the ones that they saw opened, it was nothing but Parise, Modano, Ovechkin, and Jagr. Not one Auto.
Tim, would you like me to set aside a Jagr card for you? I have extras.
The first card I pulled out of the first pack I opened was the Pekka Rinne card you need. Contact me at afgjason@gmail.com and I will send it out to you.
I also pulled the Kesler card twice as well. I will send that for your buddies set too.
Sal,
no set for you yet... but I do have an extra Toews for sure coming your way if you want it.
@ stoneski - I will email you tonight.
If you want to hold a Jags for me, that's fine. I'm not overly enthusiastic about these as you can tell.
@ dogfacegremlin - Tim, one Jagr set aside for you
@ Captain Canuck - Thank you. I'd love an extra Toews card. Keep trying to complete that set. Kazi might hook me up with one, but I'm sure that if I don't need it, someone here will.
My National Hockey Card Day was awful. I stopped at all five card shops in the city. The first stop was a major disappointment because the owner told me he had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for the cards, even though the shop was listed on Upper Deck as a shop giving them away. At my second stop the guy gave me two packs, which was excellent, except both contained the same exact five cards. Stop three gave me a pack and when I asked what I had to buy to get the Crosby card, the guy said anything. After making my purchase, the guy said no you can't buy that. So I tried to buy something else, and he said he was all out. I could see a stack of them behind the register. Oh well... Stop four was out of Crosby's and five was out of eerything. Anyway, /rant.
In the end I had 7 Hodgsons, 6 Luongos, 5 Scheifeles, 4 Orrs, 3 Brodeurs and RNHs, 2 Couteriers, and 1 Messier, Connolly, and Subban. 0 Gretzkys, Toews, Lemieuxs, or Stamkos.
